FIXOTEK

Fixotek / ON/OFF is an artist-run collective in Berlin, Lohmühlenstraße organising exhibitions, screenings, workshops, and experimental work around architecture, public space, material reuse, and urban ideas. My role moves between communication, curation support, physical preparation, and the practical work that allows cultural programmes to take place.Alongside exhibitions and public programmes, Fixotek functioned as a place for hands-on learning through material experimentation and collective construction.

I supported and participated in workshops that moved from discussion into making: working with hemp-lime (hempcrete), testing accessible construction methods, and building temporary seating from available materials. These sessions brought together students, artists, architects, and participants around practical questions of reuse, material behaviour, and how a space can be made collectively. For exhibitions, screenings, and events, I develop visual material that gives each programme a clear entry point while working within an ongoing artist-run context. Alongside communication, I support the practical translation of a programme into space: layouts, installation preparation, object placement, visitor flow, tools, timing, and on-site coordination.
